Drift is the silent killer.
Nobody decides to overpay. Nobody decides to stop growing. It just happens, a few pounds and a few weeks at a time, until you’re working harder for less.
I’ve seen it. For 25 years I sold technology to the companies that send small businesses their bills: O2, Vodafone, BT, EE. I sat on the side of the table that sets the price, and I watched how differently the big customers were treated from the small ones.
Then I lived it. I got my own building, Unit 12 on Green Park. Every bill crept up: the electricity, the broadband, the insurance, the cleaning. I hadn’t looked at my own desk prices in two years. An office sat empty while I was busy with everything else. None of it was a decision. It just added up, quietly, the way it does for every owner I know.
Unit 12 holds founding place 1. I use Haptyq on my own building first.
The big companies always had someone watching the numbers, the market and the competition. Small businesses have the owner, at 10pm, with a spreadsheet. Haptyq is the someone. It checked my building first.
Suppliers don’t pay us. I know exactly how that side of the table works, which is why we’ll never sit on it.
